Is Adobe About To Sue Apple?
The relationship between Apple [AAPL] and Adobe has been getting considerably worse over the last couple of months, with Apple blocking Flash from running on the iPhone and iPad and then the announcement of the iPhone OS 4.0 which stops developers using Adobe software to develop iPhone and iPad applications.

Adobe thought they had got around the Flash problem for developers by releasing their iPhone Compiler software in Adobe CS5 until Apple changed the way iPhone applications could be programmed in iPhone OS 4.0.
Adobe hasn’t said anything officially as yet on whether they intend to take Apple to court, but a number of rumors have surfaced which to lead us to believe this may be their next course of action.
Adobe’s Wiebke Lips had the following to say about the iPhone SDK 4.0 ‘We are aware of the new SDK language and are looking into it. We continue to develop our Packager for iPhone OS technology, which we plan to debut in Flash CS5.” Flash CS5, which is part of Adobe Creative Suite 5, arrived on April 12th, but, at this point, it can’t be used to create i-device applications’.
Adobe’s Flash is everywhere on the Internet, and it currently account for around 95% of videos on the web, so they are less than happy with the stance that Apple has taken with Flash.
Maybe taking Apple to court is the only move left for Adobe, as Apple basically doesn’t want anything to do with Flash, as Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs has said publicly on a number of occasions.
